ENHANCING LEARNING WITH TECHNOLOGY
*Each week I work with every class for 50 minutes, providing experience with technology directly related to your child’s grade level learning expectations.
*Your child will explore the information in a variety of forms including books, a variety of media, software applications, and the World Wide Web.
*Your child will learn to read a write code through computer programming activities with code.org.
*Your child will be taken through Common Sense Media lessons which support families in raising kids who think critically, participate responsibly, and behave ethically in their online lives.
*Each week your child will have the opportunity to check out one of our 13,000+ collection of library books.
*Students at Harvey explore and interact with information via print, multimedia, software applications and the World Wide Web. Students will express their learning through a variety of technology tools including movie making, program writing, and multimedia presentations. All Media Center projects focus Michigan Department of Education Computer Science K-6 Standards, with an emphasis on 21st century learning and information literacy.
